While doing research for a biography about 1920s-30s Broadway actress Peg Entwistle, I often find remarkably odd and often hysterical (by contemporary standards) headlines.
I often share them with friends, including Donna Lethal, stunning hostess of the famed retro Blog, "Lethal Dose." Donna suggested I start posting them, along with my insightful, and very non-politically correct, comments.
Please keep in mind that these are actual crops from major newspapers of the 1920s and 30s.
